Unlike Everest Base camp trek, Annapurna Base Camp trek is comparatively easier and shorter. In this trek, you will reach up to the maximum elevation of 4,130m/13,550 feet and stay a minimum number of days at that elevation. If you are a fit person with a little bit of determination and passion for trekking can do this trek. You don’t need any technical expertise or climbing and mountaineering skills for Annapurna Base camp trek. The strenuous thing about this trek is 9 to 10days of uphill and downhill trekking 8 hours a day. You need to be careful about altitude sickness as at times above 4000 m you can get altitude sickness. However, the trek starts at an altitude of 800 m and allows sufficient days for acclimatization.

Annapurna base camp trek offers the most spectacular mountain views of the world’s highest peaks like Annapurna mountain range, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Khangsar, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhare. The majestic Annapurna Mountain range includes the tenth highest peak of the world Annapurna I (8,091m).

You will trek through Annapurna Sanctuary which is home to diverse flora and fauna and ethnic Magar and Gurung villages all living together in harmony. You will find tourist-friendly trekking lodges in Annapurna Base Camp trek known as tea houses. Most of the tea houses en route are very simple and will provide you basic wooden bed with a simple mattress, pillow, and blanket. Almost every teahouse accommodation in the route has a solar and electric heater shower except for some who will provide you with a bucket of hot water. The facilities you get in these tea houses depend on the budget and flow of trekkers on the trail. As you go higher towards less trekked trails the quality of facilities may decrease. Also, note that in high altitudes during seasons and with a high flow of trekkers, single rooms may not be available.
These tea houses provide just enough to take a good rest after a long day’s walk and plan for the next day. These tea houses also provide a perfect hub where you can meet people from around the world and share your experience. Here you can explore the picturesque village of friendly people along with their unique culture and tradition.
As per the meal, you can enjoy authentic Nepalese food or another international cuisine (Italian, Indian, Continental, Tibetian, etc.). However, in less popular places you will not get all the food options but, Breakfast, Dinner, and lunch will all be provided on the trekking route.
After your breakfast at hotel, we will take you to Syauli Bazar (2 hours driving by Taxi or Jeep) from Pokhara. After the reaching at Syaulibazaar, you will start to trek to Ghandruk (2020m). Today, you will walk for 3 hours. The trail is half road and half walking trail. On a clear day, you see the nice view of Annapurna South, Himchuli, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre etc. Overnight stay in a lodge at Ghandruk village
Today, you will trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa (2340m) via Chhomrong village. It takes 6-7 hours to walk. The trail from Ghandruk to Komrong Danda is slowly up. From Komrong Danda, you will trek down to Komrong Khola. Again climb up to Chhomrong village, a nice village in Annapurna. Overnight at lodge
After spending morning for breakfast and Mountain View, your trekking to Deurali starts from Sinuwa. It takes about 6- 7 hours to reach. On the route, you will pass the famous villages of Dovan and Bamboo to reach Deurali (3200m), overnight at Lodge.
Today, you will reach Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) after walking 5-6 hours walk. The trail is all the way uphill. When you arrive at Machhapuchhre Base Camp, you will again have the nice view of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Himchuli, Gandharva Chuli, Glacier Dom, Annapurna III, Gangapurna etc. Overnight at Lodge.
You will wake up in the morning to see the nice view of Annapurna I including other several peaks. You will have breakfast and trek from ABC to Bamboo via Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Himalaya, Dovan, and Bamboo. You will enjoy your evening at Bamboo staying 2340 m. takes about 6-7 hours. overnight at Lodge.
After breakfast as usual, you will trek from Bamboo to Jhinu Danda via Sinuwa and Chhomrong Village. Jhinu is located 1690 m elevation. It takes 4-5 hours to walk. In the afternoon, you will be in the Natural Hot Spring, overnight at Lodge.
Trek from Jhinu to Mokyu (one and half hours walking) or Siwai (4 Hours walk) . From Mokyu or Siwai, drive to Pokhara. It takes 3 hours’ drive, overnight at the Hotel in Pokhara.
