Kaskikot Durbar is one of the ancient historical palace which was ruled by Shah dynasty, Kulamandan Shah Khad. People of Nepal usually plan trip towards Kaskikot Durbar to explore the ancient history of the destination.
The Durbar is located at the top of hill at the altitude of 1700 meters above the sea level. Similarly, the hike is a 12 kilometers west of Pokhara city. Kaskikot Durbar hiking route is on the route of Annapurna region as you get to experience the panoramic views of Himalayas including Dhaulagiri on the farwest and Annapurna range on the north of Kaskikot.
Similarly, from the top of destination, you can also see the massive Fewa lake in the heart of Pokhara city. Kaskikot can also be reached from Sarangkot, Chapakot, Dhikurpokhari, and Hemja.
Kaskikot is a beautiful village in the lap of Annapurna in Nepal. Before the unification of Nepal, there were 24 small principalities in west Nepal. Kaski was one of them. The ruins of the old palace of the rulers of Kaski can still be seen in Kaskikot.
Well, the locals of Kaskikot Durbar area are mostly Brahmin, Chhetri, Thakuri, Magar and Dalit castes. Houses in Kaskikot represents traditional Nepalese resident built of woods, rocks, and muds. Similarly, you can reach up to the Kaskikot Temple which is a famous spot for the pilgrims.

We will begin our hike from Pokhara, and drive to Kaskikot, which takes about 30 minutes. We will start our hike from the base of the hill and gradually climb up to Kaskikot Durbar, a historical palace which was once a kingdom in itself. Along the way, we will pass through beautiful terraced farmlands, traditional villages, and lush forests.
After reaching Kaskikot Durbar, we will explore the palace and learn about its rich history and cultural significance. We will also enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and landscapes. After lunch, we will hike downhill to the base of the hill, passing through more traditional villages and farmlands. We will then drive back to Pokhara, where the tour ends.
