What is the best way to visit Muktinath Temple?

The easiest way to reach Muktinath from Pokhara is by a jeep or a bus. It takes around 7-8 hours to reach Jomsom from Pokhara by road. Another day early morning you will visit the temple and enjoy the temple visit.

We will arrange a hotel room on twin sharing basis. You will get the food and overnight stay at hotel room in tourist standard hotel in Jomsom.

Permits Required for Muktinath:

You will need to obtain a TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) permit and an ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Permit) before you proceed for the Muktinath tour. We will provide this permits and necessary documents for your trip. If you want arrange yourself, you can obtain these permits from the Nepal Tourism Board in Pokhara or from the checkpoint in Jomsom.

When is the Best Time for Muktinath tour?

The best time to visit Muktinath temple is from March to June and from September to November. The weather during these months is pleasant, and the skies are clear, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

In monsoon season there might be problem of landslides and flood in Kaligandki river area, so this tour is not recommended.

Start early in the morning from Pokhara to Jomsom by jeep. We drive through the scenic route along the Kali Gandaki River and pass through charming villages such as Tukuche, Marpha, and Jomsom. Overnight we will stay in a hotel in Jomsom.

Wake up early in the morning to witness the stunning views of the sunrise over the Himalayas. Drive for half hour to Muktinath temple and visit the Muktinath temple and take a dip in the holy waters of the 108 taps. Visit the nearby Kunda and Jwala Mai temples. Explore the nearby villages of Kagbeni and Jharkot.
Drive back to Pokhara via the same scenic route. Stop by at Tatopani, where you can take a dip in the natural hot springs and relax. Reach Pokhara by late evening.
